Yup, there was never a release. I fell for the trick and bought one off ebay sometime ago. It turned out to be a bootleg. I can help you if you are looking for a track or something. email me at shearer0973@aim.com

Um, blinddoc and shearer, you're both mistaken. The soundtrack was indeed released on LP, CD and Cassette -- I have two different versions of the LP and a friend of mine has the CD. The US release featured the songs from the film. Sometime in the mid-90s, there was a Japanese CD release that also included the score. Guys, there IS too a release of the Fright Night complete soundtrack. Look on ioffer.com. It's hardly ever on ebay or amazon. It is NOT A BOOTLEG! It will say with inserts and sealed. I have bought a couple of the cds to save up until it becomes extremely rare.

This is what was NOT RELEASED:

*Poison Ivy (1992) 10 promotional cds to cast/crew Composer David Michael Frank (with Drew Barrymore)
*The Crush (1993) (may or may not have been) Composer Graeme Revell (Contact Morgan Creek to ask them about whether or not a soundtrack was released.)
*Ghost in the Machine (1993) Composer Graeme Revell
*Fear (1996) with Mark Wahlberg
*Nightwatch (1997 or 1998) with Nick Nolte & Ewan McGregory
*The Hidden II: The Spawning (1994) [I had to go to discogs.com to buy the songs from the movie separately.]

Anyway, I own 3 of the Audio CDs of the soundtrack of Fright Night, also the LP/Vinyl Record, and the audio cassette tape. The cd sells usually from $13-$20 on ioffer.com. See for yourself!

Look guys, a soundtrack was released with the songs on Private I
Records and only released on lp and cassette. In the mid 90's the
cassette changed from a solid shell to a clear see through shell.
This soundtrack was NEVER released on cd officially. The bootleg
cd of this album and the score has poor sound quality and is NOT
nor does count as the soundtrack with the songs first ever
release on cd.

I don't know why the song album was never released on cd. Even
though the cassette's shell went from a solid shell to a clear see
through shell on the cassette...you would think that someone at
CBS would put it also out on cd. Awaiting for a official score
release maybe coming out, for the song album on cd...that is a
wish for all of us to see be released.

Good News For all you Fright Night fans. Aftrer 3 decades of
waiting, Perseverance records will officially release Fright Night
the Album on CD.
It can be bought on site of perseverance records.
