HEAT WAVE (1990) Opening Score by Thomas Newman????

I watched this movie in US history class and the opening score was amazing. Unfortunately, a soundtrack of the movie was never made.

Does anyone know if that track was used in another movie or something? Definately one of the best tracks Ive ever heard
