THE UNSAID - question for Alan Rogers

Hi,

I have got the special DVD+CD Set (Mediacs 10037) THE UNSAID in my mail today (see http://soundtrackcollector.com/catalog/soundtrackdetail.php?movieid=35745). The CD, which has 10 minutes more than the standalone soundtrack CD by Prometheus, comes without any tracklisting in the Mediacs Set, but Alan Rogers has provided a tracklist on this website.

So, Alan, I would be grateful to learn where you retrieved the track titles from. It cannot be the Prometheus release, as track titles for obviously identical tracks differ. Well, if anyone else of you here can answer my question, I would be the same as grateful, of course. :-)

Regards,

Urs

Hi Urs

Can you tell me please where you purchased your DVD+CD of The Unsaid? Many thanks.

Hi handstand,

It has been a while since I sourced these titles - it may even have been someone here who originally provided the tracklistings. The tracklisting that I added isn't official by any means - apparently the CD release along with the DVD wasn't itself really official. And this means that it may be difficult to get a hold of the DVD+CD - I got it from amazon.de some time ago.

So, the tracklistings have been made up by someone and are not official. There is a site - http://lokutusost.ufouni.cz/filmmusic/davis/diskografie.htm - that does list these same listings, but they may have got them from this database. (Their "The Opening" may be the "Main Titles" listed here with their "Main Titles" being a track that was available at Don Davis' own website. And the cue has just been tacked on at the beginning of their listings.)

One of my "to do" jobs is to go through the DVD and marry up the music cues with the on-screen action to see if the titles are appropriate.

I hope that this helps with both the questions.

Hi Alan,

thank you very much for your detailed answer. I already speculated myself if the tracklist was a bit on the 'creative' side ;-)

I first checked if the tracklist might stem from the DVD's chapter list, but the chapter titles immediately turned out to be completely different.

By the way, I think the CD in the mediacs 10037 set was legitimate and ok. I just found out yesterday that unfortunately mediacs went into bankruptcy early in 2004...

Best regards,

Urs
