Question

Your opinion is ...?
We all recognized it in the last years. Make a CD of an old LP release. And finally we get a CD by Varese of which LP release?
Here is my list:
Four Girls In Town - Alex North
Apology - Maurice Jarre
Children Of The Corn - Jonathan Elias
Cat's Eye - Alan Silvestri
The Burning - Rick Wakeman
Lassiter - Ken Thorne
Let's Get Harry - Brad Fiedel
Jake Speed - Mark Snow
Firewalker - Gary Chang
The Lonely Guy - Jerry Goldsmith
And finally (hopefully):
F/X - Bill Conti
The Final Option - Roy Budd
I don't pay attention to the official Varese News("Extremely new")!!!
I don't know something about the right of this scores, that's why I'm asking.
Thanks

I'd love to hear The Final Option (Who Dares Wins) finally on CD. This exciting combo of funk, electronica and lovely themes really needs a new release. The movie is from MGM/UA, so there shouldn't be any problems with rights. But is Mr. Townson from Varese a fan of Roy Budd's music? I doubt. Probably we'll get another Bernstein, North or Donaggio CD.

Hello,
I would like to see a cd release of the Maurice Jarre score from the movie "Villa Rides".
Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

I wouldn't mind "The Final Option," but I would also love an expanded "Heavy Metal" score CD.

From the Varèse old catalogue I'd like to see released on CD :
Richard Einhorn's "Sister, Sister"
Donaggio's "Tourist Trap" and "Crawlspace"
Jonathan Elias' "Vamp" and, of course, "Children of the Corn."
Charles Bernstein's "Deadly Friend"
and most of them all
Jay Chattaway's "Silver Bullet"...

I would like to see an OFFICIAL RELEASE of the following scores: BACK TO THE FUTURE, GREMLINS, BATMAN & ROBIN or from John Willams: MONSIGNOR OR CINDERELLA LIBERTY.
I believe the only way you can get the aforementioned scores are as bootlegs or from foreign made copies. I missed out on 2 scores I really wanted & now they go for extravagant prices on e-bay (DIE HARD & PREDATOR).
I do have some of the older Varese scores on cassette & unless the CD's would contain EXTRA music, I probably would not buy them as they would be the same as the cassette version, such as SHEENA & TOP SECRET! were.

I will be burning a copy onto cd of my Academy Promo cassette tape. It's not in the database, although the cd is. Back then the Academy released stuff on both CD and cassette to members.
I'm sure I have other stuff on LP that i could burn to CD however the LP collection is my parents basement, once decent weather arrives it will get hauled out of there to my house. 4-5 boxes full as i remember, most non-soundtracks. Is Children of Miguel on cd? I have the LP version.
