MADDALENA - GDM 2001 vs. Saimel 3993810
Hello,
now that the extended MADDALENA CD is available for quite some time, I would like to know if anyone of you ever made a thorough comparison of both CD releases.
What interests me is if you noticed any sound quality differences? Which one sounds better?
I would be glad to hear your opinions.
Best wishes and thanks in advance

I will be curious to hear the answer as well, but I thought I'll just say that I have only the Saimel CD and while it doesn't sound bad, it seems to me it has somehow very long silence pauses between the tracks. The 4-page booklet has liner notes in Spanish. The stero sound is good.

Even though I don't own either of these CD's at the present time, I would venture to guess that the Japanese issue (Avanz Records SP/CR 20009) probably beats both in terms of sound quality. It's pretty hard to top Japanese mastering. I'm still waiting for someone to put out the *definitive edition* however.
