Arabian Nights Sountrack
Who's the composer of the violin solo in various scenes throughout the film Arabian Nights (or 1001 Erotic Nights) and especially at the end (when Zumarud is walking through the court disguised as the king and spots her wandering lover; when she first approaches the fort-kingdom dressed as a wanderer etc.)? I thought I recognized it as J.S. Bach, but dementia even included Schubert as a possibility. Can anyone help me? If so, maybe someone could also tell me the composer of the flute solo in Oedipus Rex, as Oedipus is being led to the Sphinx and passes by Tereisias playing the flute. The scenes with Tereisias are fabulous, I steal his quotes all the time, especially when speaking to my fellow American compatriots:
"What good is knowing (or how terrible it is to know), when it is of no use to him who knows..........You are all mad, but I will not reveal your evils........Events will speak, even if I remain silent".
Thanks a million. Enjoy the day!

Just a shot in the dark here, since I don't even know what production you're talking about... Could the violin solo be a fragment from Rimsky Korsakov's "Scheherazade"?
