Jerry Goldsmith Composition
Hi everybody!
Can anyone tell me what's THUNDER OF IMPERIAL NAMES composed by Goldsmith, and where it's available?

It's a short concert piece and has never been oficially recorded.

Thank for your answer!
In fact, I've heard it's some kind of military poem narrated by George Kennedy with music by Goldsmith, produced in the '60s (last century), and available in a CD called "USAF Tactical Air Command Band: We the People" (11 tracks).
What I need is to confirm this info to add to my records...

In the mid-eighties, I was a station operator at KUSU radio station, in Logan, Utah. I used the CD on the air several times. In my memory, much of the album was music of John Williams. I couldn't tell you specifics about "Thunder of Imperial Names," other than it was impressively performed by the USAF Tactical Air Command Band, and that the album was entitled "We the People."
I did happen to jot down an address from the CD cover, and was using it to search the net, and perhaps find a copy of the album. My search located your question. Anyway, here's the title and address: "We the People and Other Recordings" Director of Operations, Tactical Air Command Band, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia 23665-5000.
Another possibility would be to contact KUSU radio station, on the campus of Utah State University, in Logan, Utah. They may still have the CD on their shelves.
Happy hunting, and good luck.
Sincerely,
