Looks pretty slick, but it's a bootleg. It's about time that Grusin's score gets an official release. Maybe for the film's 50th anniversary we'll get lucky. :-/

I think some much sought after scores got their release so late, it is actually TOO late. For example, I doubt that the upcoming WITCHES OF EASTWICK will sell well - it just comes too late. Or is there a new Deluxe DVD edition around that could create more attention for the new CD as well? I remember how WITCHES was a kind of #1 wanted score some years ago, but it seems to me the enthusiasm has cooled down, especially since a comprehensive bootleg was made easily available.

There is a rare, now out of print CD in existance called "Best of Adventure"; it's an official
release, a 2 CD compilation from Germany and it has the nostaligic Goonies film score on
it. A whole 18:49 minutes worth of ear candy! This CD was released in the mid '90s, and
according to the CD booklet, the film score on this particular CD was a world premier of
the film score recording. They say 'WORLD premier', which is correct, but I believe the
film score was realeased on CD in limited number back in the mid '80s, but only in the
good old USA. On the "Best of Adventure" CD, the Dave Grusin score was performed by
the City of Prague Philharmonic.. To say the recording is amazing would be an
understatement because listening to it brings scenes from the movie to mind in vivid
detail. Can you tell this is my favorite movie? =) *april

I own virtually every single one of Dave Grusin's scores on CD, and I can tell you, without a doubt, that this thing on eBay has DEFINITE bootleg written all over it. There has NEVER been a commercial release like the one described in this auction.
