BASIC INSTINCT 2

Greetings!

I haven't seen this movie sequel as of yet. I had a feeling from the upcoming attractions I had seen that it would not do justice to the original. How is it? Is it as bad as its U.S. sales?

For anyone who has seen the movie or received and listened to their soundtrack fom LaLa, has John Murphy delivered a decent, listenable, original score? I am contemlpating on the idea of making the purchase but I rather hear what you guys have to say first.

Ciao!!

I think it is really strange here in the U.S. it didn't do as well as I thought it would have... On opening weekend it came in 10th place! making I think something like 3 million only Which I think it is already being prepped for a DVD release ASAP I would think. I heard it is ok to watch but even crappy movies can make money.

Basic Instinct II is not THAT bad. I mean, it doesn’t deserve the Worst Movie of All Times Award. Think of it as an R-rated late-night cable movie, with some skin, some action, Sharon Stone and a twist. I thought Murphy did a decent job, using some of Goldsmith’s themes and adding his own incidental, minimalist “suspense” music.
