JERRY GOLDSMITH AUTOGRAPHED CDS
I have deleted ALL my previous threads as I appreciate I was creating too many!!!
I am asking here if anyone has signed versions of any Goldsmith score, in particular (in priority order): The Mummy, Supergirl, Star Trek (any one), Total Recall, Planet of the Apes, The Omen (any), Alien.
I am looking, however, for ANY signed soundtrack by ANY composer!
Thanks for looking!

I have an original signed ,Mummy`- score but would never separate from and i believe that no serious colector would do so. It is always associated with personal memories and so in my opinion is worthless for anyone else. Just my simple opinion.
So as Nightmare said: give it a rest

I have several Goldsmith's soundtrack CDs autographed by the Maestro himself, that I got attending to his concerts:
- RAGGEDY MAN (Varèse Club)
- RIO CONCHOS (Intrada)
- THE RUSSIA HOUSE
- TWILIGHT'S LAST GLEAMING (Goldsmith Society)
Anyway, I think exactly the same as Peter-Anselm. I could never separate from these items. Personal memories are strongly associated to them. I think that these autographed CDs are only worthy for me. Sorry.

Thanks Hammon! I decided against the Elfman in the end, since it is made out to you its not fair for me to take it, and it wouldn't have any sentimental value for me anyway!
Angeld, thanks for replying but the scores you mentioned here aren't of any musical interest to me anyway as I didn't like Goldsmith in this kind of form....I dunno, it's hard to slag off a master!!! Not that that's what im doing!
Thanks v. much for replying though!!!

Goodluck in finding what yo uare lookign for but which mentally sane GOLDSMITH fan would sell his autographed cd's? I mean I only have one signed by GOLDSMITH (and various others signed by other composers) and it's one of my treasures. Mark you really want to sell the Elman signed Batman CD?
baalgehenna, April 30, 2006; 6:33 PM

Yeah I know, you have to be mad! However I have already obtained 3 signed Star Trek cds by Goldsmith from this forum... One can only try
filmscoreking, April 30, 2006; 6:37 PM

I never said I wanted to sell it. :)
I just listed what I had autographed. I was curious about a person collecting autographs assuming most would probably be personalized. I was curious what the response would be.

You guys get me all wrong!!! Im only asking for Goldsmith autographs since I can't simply send my cds off to him! PLUS I only look for autographed copies scores that I actually LIKE by Goldsmith, the music is the most important thing!!!!!!!

American.Nightmare, May 22, 2006; 8:54 PM

Thanks nightmare but I already got my star trek autographed by Goldsmith himself!!
filmscoreking, May 22, 2006; 9:28 PM

dangoodrum... When were these three Jerry Goldsmith autographed ''Star Trek'' cd's posted for sale on this forum and where the heck was I?
You have obtained three autographed ''Star Trek'' cd's from this forum and one ''Star Trek'' cd from the man himself in person if I understood correctly which would make a total of four Jerry Goldsmith autographed ''Star Trek'' cd's which are in your possession... but who's counting anyway?
Who in their mind would want to part with something like this (three times mind you) unless of course these three individuals were in grave need for money which I guess is perfectly understandable.
Please, don't mind my asking but why are you collecting the same autographed cd score over and over? I can understand different Jerry Goldsmith scores but the same score?
In any case, since you have four ''Star Trek'' autographed cd's by the great Jerry Goldsmith your answer to my question would be valued.
Comparing the current eBay listing with # 4884918202 to the others you have, does it seem as an authentic autographed Jerry Goldsmith ''Star Trek'' cd to you?
I'll appreciate your response!
Thanks!

I'm interested to know where you got that information from! I only have 1 Star Trek: The Motion Picture which I got signed at a London concert by him, and I have bought Star Trek: First Contact and Star Trek: Nemesis from someone else for not that much. Like I stated earlier, I am a Goldsmith fanatic and seeming as i can't get him to sign my stuff any more I buy memorabilia off people. Besides I only buy signed cds that are my favourite scores, the music obviously comes first. Hope that cleared up any doubts in your mind!!
filmscoreking, May 23, 2006; 2:40 AM

That makes two fanatics here!
I see now...
I misread your response to this thread from April 30 & May 22, 2006 and thought to myself ''Star Trek''...''Star Trek: The Motion Picture'' so many times times... why?
It's quite late here where I am and I guess and I'm too tired.
I am sorry... my mind only thought at the moment of ''Star Trek: The Motion Picture''.
I'm too engrossed in thinking about the current eBay auction and disregarded the rest of the Star Trek scores Jerry Goldsmith has composed.
I would really like something let alone ''Star Trek: The Motion Picture'' signed by Jerry Goldsmith.
I'm contemplating though the price tag and the fact that if indeed an authentic Jerry Goldsmith signature, it is really impersonal. It is not like yours where you have a specific memory from your autographed copy of the ''Star Trek: The Motion Picture'' cd.
Anyway, I don't think the price tag will stop where it is. Within hours from the beginning of the auction it has jumped from $40 and just checked... more than $300!
Regarding the current eBay item 4884918202 I'm referring to which is up for auction by buysoundtrax on eBay, if you compare your autographed ''Star Trek: The Motion Picture" cd to this one and even the other two you have you lucky devil, does the signature seem authentic to you??? I'll appreciate your response!
Thanks dangoodrum!!
