Foolight Records sale...don't miss out!
Footlight Records is offering 30% off all items in their "Rare" section, and there's a bunch of great titles in there. I just picked up a couple of treasures myself. ;-)

Some interesting titles indeed... but they're not exactly giving them away. I've gotten some of these titles way way cheaper still from various record stores and brand new.
I'm sure other internet stores as well might have better prices like Screen Archives, MovieMusic, etc.
It's always fun and wise to shop around first.
They don't state though how used and abused some of these used cd's and LP's are?...
THANKS for the tip!

You mean "treasures" for the EXPENSIVE price, right ? :)
falcsanz, May 15, 2006; 6:37 PM

Serifiot,
As a matter of fact, Footlight is considerably less expensive in some instances. For example:
http://www.screenarchives.com/title_detail.cfm?ID=5491
http://www.footlight.com/product.cfm?product_id=13405
Footlight's price is 1/2 as much as Screen Archives! Like you said, "it's always fun and wiser to shop around first."

Oh, stop whining. If you don't want to shop there, then that's your business. Nobody cares.

I simply wanted to let people know about a soundtrack sale, and maybe help someone find a rare CD that they might've been looking for, and instead of just saying thanks (or nothing at all), you guys complain about their high prices and bootlegs. Not every subject that is brought up on this board begs a personal opinion, you know.
American.Nightmare, May 15, 2006; 9:31 PM

Thanks for the tip man, I have ordered a few to my opinion "rare" ones.
Which did you buy?
rmensing, May 15, 2006; 10:57 PM

@ rmensing:
I bought "Film Music By Masaru Satoh, Vol. 13" (used 2-CD set on the SLC label featuring Satoh's music for Akira Kurasawa films, sale price $40) and "Kamen no Ninja Akakage" (also on the SLC label, a new/sealed 2-CD set featuring music from the 1967 Japanese tokusatsu TV series, sale price $35).
How about you?
@ coma:
No hard feelings, eh? And by the way, you're welcome!

Sweet.

Hi
Thanks for the info about the sale, I recently put up a post telling people about a awesome forthcoming Japanese new release (Hotwax Label's new "Sukeban" CD), and I was also attacked for doing "over the top advertising," I don't know what the point is for attacking people who are trying to help out other collectors. I guess these few members are just content to look at posts such as "what is your favorite composers least best score that you own" or "looking for a song from this movie", etc. I'm just trying to share some info with other interested parties. Bottom line is "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all." - Eric
PS: If any people are interested, here is a link to a new(er) expaneded edition Kamen No Ninja Akakage double CD:

This VAP label version contains all the music of the SLCS version plus alot more. I love this show and coincidentally, the very last episode of this show aired the same day I was born (3/27/68)!!!! Pick this CD up, it is one of the best Tokusatsu shows ever!!!
