The heck with the movie... I have not seen it and when and if I do perhaps I would agree with you there.
Have you ever listened to the score coma?

Are we talking about this release - seen at SAE:
THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK (6/27 RELEASE)
At this time the album is only for pre-order.

I received mine from play.com yesterday after being on pre-order status for some time now.
The sound quality is fine except for the defect on track 3 which is really not that audible but nevertheless it should not be there.
I have a feeling their first badge of releases are unfortunately all like this since many soundtrack forums have numerous complaints.

I saw a post on Soundtrackcollector.com, FSM or Intrada where someone had contacted the manufacturer and they replied back. IIRC it was mentioned that they were being repressed. The original Warner's release does not have this defect (I know I have it).

:-) I have received the CDs about 3 weeks ago and started the posts on FSM, Intrada and LaLaLand immediatelly... I was quite surprise finding out that altough I had received the CDs from our very slow local internet shop it is not available in US yet...
The tracks 3 really is defective and hope there will be some repressing... altough I was a bit disappointed by the score itself which I remember being better on the bootleg... also the overall sound quality is far from being remastered...
