''Vixen'' by Igo Kantor
I'm contemplating in buying the Laserlight soundtrack cd release of ''Vixen'' by Igo Kantor.
Is there any dialogue in the soundtrack cd which personally I rather not have or is it 16 tracks of music only?
I listened to samples of the first 5 tracks from amazon.com and the soundtrack sounds promising. The rest 11 tracks I cannot sample.
Any comments on the music?
Thanks fellas!...

Yes, the Laserlight CD is the Original soundtrack without any dialogue. Meaning: get it!
The other Russ Meyer CD's that have dialogue, are his own way of saying fuck you without including the original music because he'd have to pay royalties!
He used the Capitol records Hi-Q, Robert Hall, and New World libraries for his soundtracks and nobody has seemed to care enough to reissue this stuff.(This is all of the music BEHIND all of his wonderful dialogue, yet maybe we don't want to have the dialogue!) So let's get pissed off!

I couldn't agree more... I'm pissed off as well!
Anyway, thanks for the tip!
I have the 1997 QDK Media CD 014 release which includes ''Good Morning... and goodbye!'',''Cherry, Harry & Raquel'', and ''Mondo Topless'' and it's mostly dialogue! I would prefer the music only.
''Vixen'' is on order as well as the soundtrack from ''Cherry, Harry & Raquel''.
If I'm not mistaken these two must be the only cd soundtracks from Russ Meyer's movies with music only and no dialogue.

Don't forget "Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls". The Theme from the fashion shoot in that film "Pop March" by Johnny Pearson (sound library) is on the comps Music For TV Dinners (The 60s)(Scamp Records), and Shut It (Music from the TV show The Sweeney)(Cinephile Records).
