What is so special about this CD that it sells for over $500 on Ebay or even the LP sells for over 100$
Thanks

It's probably rare or out of print.....

A year ago i had a chance to buy it for 20 euro at my local cd store, but some idiot found out soon enough to purchase it himself so he could sell it on ebay for a couple of hundreds.

Basically because of supply and demand. This now long out of print CD soundtrack was supposedly released in very limited copies. More people wanted it for whatever reason, less CD soundtrack copies were produced.

I had the LP and sold it after I got the CD. The value of the LP appears to be more fickled than the CD. It would make you sick if you knew what I got for it. I did try selling it, but no one seemed interested. I took it to a local used LP shop and got nothing for it. I got the LP sealed and it was only played three times. The value of the CD actually went down after the CDr market came about. I can remember two people bidding one one years ago that went for over 800 dollars.

Don't feel so bad about the LP. I recently saw an almost mint copy auctioned on eBay with a starting bid of 1 U.S. dollar... nobody even bothered to place a bid!
I think the Serpent and the Rainbow balloon legacy is slowly shrinking.

I have the CD version, and the cassette version. Strange, the cassette version isn't even listed in this database. I guess I should add it, then.
