This is very strange!
This guy on Ebay stormygirlmovies is selling the 20th copy of the Limited Edition Varese CD of Cherry 2000 in the past 3 months.
From what I hear only 1500 copies were pressed, and before the Prometheus release (which I have and is great BTW), used to go for as much as $2000 on Ebay. I just cannot figure how he has so many copies unless he is selling bootlegs:

Seems strange because he says his copies are NOT NUMBERED.
Yet he gets almost all positive feedback for people who buy these copies.
Anybody brought this from him care to comment?

not purchased but id say cheap copies, based on negative feedback, sadly there are people out in the world who just dont know the difference with original and pirate merchandise.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: those unnumbered Cherry 2000 CDs are bootlegs, plain and simple. All of the sudden, a few years ago, the market became flooded with them, and I even bought one myself. I compared the disc and inserts to other, legitimate, Varese Club releases (such as The Burbs and Red Sonja), and there was a remarkable difference in the quality of the paper used to print out the inserts. The Cherry 2000 boot had thinner, glossier paper than the other, original Varese Club CDs, and if I remember correctly, the serial numbers that are printed around the clear inner ring of the disc were also a different style. Caveat emptor!

I was aware of unnumbered CHERRY 2000 bootlegs but as American Nightmare points out, the paper was cheaper etc.
On the other hand there are orignal unnumbered versions of Varese Club CDs. They were hand numbered and there were those given to agents etc that were not numbered. I'm wondering if the bootlegger got a hold of one of these as their master. I own an un numbered RAGGEDY MAN which I got not long after it's release from Varese. It is an original, but it is unnumbered.
