Upcoming release in July by Nino Rota

Hello,

Is anyone interested in the upcoming July release of "Death on the Nile" by Nino Rota? Sounds good to me.

Sounds interesting indeed.

However, I recently saw the movie on TV again and must say I found Rota's score remarkably inappropriate for this movie. Not that I found the music bad, but it just did not seem to fit the movie; I thought this was music that would have worked for an ancient Rome epic movie, not for a whodunit story (even in exotic surroundings).

Inappropriate is the right expression. I think Richard Rodney Bennett did a much more better work for Murder on the Orient express. But apart of that is Rotas music superior to all Poirot films that followed

Well what can I say ? I've been searching for the Cloud9 release of this score for a LONG time and now I finally have it on the way -- and just now someone re-releases it.

That's life.

A great score by the way.
