2010 Promo Expanded + Rejected?
I always check out various soundtrack sites to see what is coming available onto the market. The movie and score of 2010 always held a special place in my heart. I just found out from this site about this today:
itle:2010: THE YEAR WE MAKE CONTACT (Expanded+Rejected)
Composer Shire, David/ Banks, Tony Label PROMO
Price $ 41.90 QTY
Description The single CD edition of 2010 including excerpts (in form of a suite) from the unused score by Tony Banks! Soon to come, Pre-order now!
Real Audio
This is from a site called Ark Soundtrack Square out of Asia.
Can anyone give me any info on this at all? The website is
http://www.arksquare.com/index_main.html
Thank you.

...and some of low sound quality as well which Ark at least admits to but I guess it's better than nothing at all.

this is 1 company I will not deal with, I got a cd from them once & despite many emails & promises they never replaced it, as it was delivered with a hole through the playing surface. The packaging was not damaged, so it was not a mail issue, it was a faulty cd. A good friend did me a copy of his, but after that I never bothered with them again.

Yeah, you can get that suite on an official CD release, as detailed on my site:

All that bootleg has done is put Banks' stuff onto it.
And it's not a promo. Think about it: would you want to promote the work of some other composer?
In this case it's a fancy way of saying "bootleg".
Also, for those interested, Banks' was asked to score the first Terminator movie. Whether he did or did not, I don't know.
