Beverly Hills Cop

I'm baffled of what I found! I own the soundtrack cd of Beverly Hills Cop but came across the lp at Cd Warehouse. The third track on the lp is a different song. It is a song by Rick James and there is a different song on the cd in it's place. My cd does not have the Rick James song and the song that the cd has is also not on the lp. What in the world is up with that? Does anybody know the facts?
