GDM cd club releases
What are GDM cd club releases exactly? Are they collectable and limited in production as the Varese cd club limited releases are or other limited record label releases such as Intrada, FSM, etc.? Is there a specific GDM website or other unrelated soundtrack website which sells these GDM cd club releases directly? Thank you.

They are supposed to be limited, but they don't say how many copies are pressed and I can't think of any that went out of print yet.

Many soundtrack shops carry their titles.

50 and 90 euro just to become a member? Quite a price for only downloading music! Is anyone a member? Is it worth the money paid?

I already asked around if anyone is a member on GDM but didn't get any answer. Some weeks ago I sent an email directly to GDM and asked them whether I'm be possible to buy CDs when I'll get a member or is it just a download-membership. And guess what.... I didn't get any answer at all. LOL
well it's disappointing, I guess you have to search the internet for shops which sell their CDs.
really, GDM is a strange label. oO
more and more labels are offering download scores. hell, I wanna hold the CD in my hands and not a self-burned something with self-printed covers and shit. ;( pfff.. 90 eur for some mp3s.. no way.
Thank god there are the old good labels with great stuff in their catalogs.

Okay, so GDM doesn't sell directly to the end-user - disappointing but nothing new there - but, so what, the product is great! (Usually of a very high standard)

I agree that GDM released some great titles (and keeps doing so!). My only little regret is their booklets which often do without ANY liner notes. I for my part don't really need a booklet with 12 pages of photos only and I tend to suspect most buyers do not appreciate those either. The money could better be spent on a cut off from the price, though I have no real clue how much of a difference doing without a multi-page booklet altogether would make (I'm mainly thinking of their recent digipacks with booklets).
Bottom line, some of my most cherished CDs are from the GDM label :-)
