Disques Cinemusique used to have a link to their excellent Delerue site but administrator Clement Fontaine removed the entire site recently ! I am a big fan of Delerue so if you have a question perhaps I can help......

La révolution française 2cd/Cinemusique I am interested .
Best Regards

Hello dear people in the world..
I have a very interesting story of how I met Mr. Delerue's music.
I am a musician myself, always trying new experiences in the composition field. In 1991 I knew Delerue's music quite well, actually he was the inspritation form my own music...
The day I was watching Steel Magnolias, I was at home with 2 friends, watching the movie, together, at that point, as I said before, I knew Delerue's work, but I never thought that it would be so strong and deep his inspiration on my own work.
In the scene of Julia Robert's funeral -the character- the first long note played by the oboe it was magikal not only to my ears but to my friends as well! One of them said, Carlos, this is your music, sounds almost exactly like your last melody and he was right! and since I never quit composing, having the inspiration f Mr Delerue... My music sounds melancholic, quite romantic and I never intended to sound like George Delerue's, but I believe he is helping me from above...
I would like someday to show other my work...
