Miami Vice SCORE ( 2006 MOVIE ) ..
Does anybody know if there is a score for the new movie of MIAMI VICE ?? The score alone sounds awesome .. Not the compilation soundtrack - don't really care about that version .. Please get back to me if anyone has anyinfo. about this score .. deancorso19@hotmail.com .. Thanks ..

I don't have an answer to your question (sorry) - but felt I would reply because I had the same thought myself. As with Mann's previous movie - Collateral - I found the score very impressive and therefore a shame that no stand-alone score CD was released :(
I suspect that the same will happen with Miami Vice, but at least there are some (short) score pieces on the OST CD.
(and was it just me, or did some of the music - in the scenes with the learjet - sound *very* much like some of the bars from Jan Hammer's "Crockett's Theme"? - even though they said that there would be none of Jan's iconic music in there, I am sure that the composer for MV paid a little tribute there!)
