Question

Incredible Shrinking Man

Does anyone know if any of the soundtrack music, other than the main title music, from "The Incredible Shrinking Man" was ever released?

That music has haunted me nearly all my life, ever since I first saw the film when I was about 13 in the mid fifties.

The answer to question which haunts you can be found easily enough with just a minor amount of effort.

As a matter of fact a couple of nice recordings from "The Incredible Man" are out there. The first was produced in the early 70's on vinyl with the flip side containing music from "Creature From The Black Lagoon" both by Han Salter. The composer who busted his ass for years creating scores for hundreds of films throughout the 40's and 50's.

A second release of the same mono recordings was produced somewhere in the early 90's on CD and includes excerpts from the Richard Basehart film "Hitler" and music from a Tony Curtis film of which the title I cannot remember (Black Shield Of Falworth?).

I could check the database and be sure of the title of the Curtis film but if I leave this page and go there then come back here all I have written with magically disapear causing aggravation I would prefer not to deal with right now.

I too enjoy the music from "Shrinking Man". Trumpet theme performed by Big band legend Ray Anthony. It's a good one I agree!

CD can be found fairly easily and worth the price. Offers original poster art from "Black Lagoon" on cover. Fun to look at for hours!

As noted above there is an 18 minute suite of music from the film, along with Creature from
the Black Lagoon , Hitler and Black Shield of Falworth (all Hans Salter scores). I have it and
recommend it.
