Worst score ever:

The Birds (Bernard Herrmann)

haha, joke, though some younger people probably won't get it.

THe worst score: simple to say "Escape from Alcatraz" (Jerry Fielding) I really don´t know, what the maestro made to compose such a shit. Soon followed by `Serpent and the rainbow´(Lousy score) and ´August`by A. Hopkins (good actor, baaad composer)

Greetings
Peter

I hope that Trevor Rabin and/or Mark Mancina don't read this,
but they get my vote for "Con Air"

My least favourite soundtrack is a work from my favourite composer:

RAMPAGE by Ennio Morricone.

I would like to add though that it's probably not the "worst score" I posess, just the one I kept liking least when listening to it again once in a while.

I have a lot of worst scores , most of them by Bernard Herrmann.

Tough question, but my response would be any of the newer Hans Zimmer scores, like The Da Vinci code for example.

I can't believe that i am about to do this but...for me....it has to be John Barry's ...The White Buffalo....cannot stand it and so disappointing...it is jarring to the ears.
Sorry Mr Barry....as I adore and cherish most of your scores.

For me, happily no longer in my collection:

Out Of Sight - David Holmes ...

so bad that I won't touch another score by him unless I get the chance to hear it free of charge! It wasn't that his music was so bad but the CD production (with dialogue) was so awful! The producer of that CD should be banned from the recording studios!

Still in my collection: I was very disappointed with the full release of Lalo Schifrin's "Kelly's Heroes" - no wonder most of the music was left out of the final film.

Re: The White Buffalo - I accept that this is not a John Barry favourite but it is worth a listen or two. You do have to give it your full attention, though, and cannot play it as background music. I found its listenability improved significantly when I upgraded my speaker system.

Re: Rampage - a great eerie theme, perhaps not a favourite amongst 200+ Ennio Morricone scores but no way "#1 worst score" for me.

Robocop 2 by Leonard Rosenmann. Crappy score to an extremely crappy movie.

Anything by that no-account hack Elfman. I wouldn't have anything remotely associated with that pinhead anywhere near my being.

Ladyhawke--- as far as I am concerned that score ruined the movie
