For some reason the Varese club --both old and new-- raise much more interest than equal limited released from other labels. There's surely many candidates in the history of the club.
On the other hand, you can read 10 picks by no less authority than Mr. Douglass Fake in his old column:
http://www.intrada.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=65
Let's see -- how many do you have of his 10 ? I have 1.

On my list and tough to come by right now are the Varese Club editions of The Robe, Die Hard, Predator and the FSM Omega Man. While I have a legit Academy promo on cassette, the full Mulan Score on CD(non boot) would also be on my list.
Gary (who thinks the Goldsmith box is probably on the list but I have a copy of it.)

The 10 listed were:
1) LE SPECIALISTE (a.k.a. Gli Specialisti) ET AUTRES WESTERNS D'ANGELO FRANCESCO LAVAGNINO (EBV Version)
2) MUSIQUES PAR PHILIPPE SARDE POUR LES FILMS DE LAURENT HEYNEMANN
3) RUNAWAY TRAIN
4) TOKYO BLACKOUT
5) THE KRAYS
6) THE BLOB
7) LA SPOSA BELLA aka: THE ANGEL WORE RED
8) BLIND DATE
9) POLTERGEIST III
10) ROVER DANGERFIELD
I have six of them:
RUNAWAY TRAIN
THE KRAYS
THE BLOB
BLIND DATE
POLTERGEIST III
ROVER DANGERFIELD

Rover Dangerfield? Really?
glenngarv, August 29, 2006; 7:32 AM

For me, it could be (not necessarily in the proper order) :
1 - RUNAWAY TRAIN - Jones
2 - LINK - Goldsmith
3 - RUNAWAY - Goldsmith
4 - LE SPECIALISTE (EVB) - Lavagnino
5 - THE SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW - Fiedel
6 - DJANGO (SCREEN TRAX) - Bacalov
7 - BOYS FROM BRAZIL - Goldsmith
8 - IN HARM'S WAY - Goldsmith
9 - DEDICATO AL MARE EGEO - Morricone
10- RAGGEDY MAN - Goldsmith
...Some never ever seen on eBay for a long time !

Sorry Ray,
All of them have been on ebay recently (also Serpent and the rainbow one month ago). For the Lavagnino score i am not sure.
Greetings

10 sought-after titels could be:
1. The complete Scores from the both oscarnominated scores (!!!)Indiana Jones 2 and 3 in a really perfect remastered sound quality, in a package with a good booklet (like the great 1995 issue from "Raiders of the lost Ark" or other great new releases from old John Williams scores )!
2. The complete Score from Goldsmith´s "Star Trek - The Final Frontier" (1989)! (Many score highligts arre missing on the now old CD, some tracks were a little bit shorter than in the movie!)
3. An complete presentation in a perfect sound quality from "Secret of lost legend" (Goldsmith 1986)
4. Randy Edelman´s "Ghostbusters 2" (1989)
5. A official release in a perfect sound from "Young Sherlok Holmes" (Bruce Brougton)
6. Complete Scores from "Star Trek 2 and 3" (James Horner 1982. 1984)! - I would like to see all Star Trek scores in a new complete official edition like the new James Bond CD´s to the first 19 movies in 2004)
7. A complete official CD from "Back to the future" (Alan Silvestri) with all songs and all score Tracks!
8. A sore CD from "Goonies" (Dave Crusin, 1985)
9. A complete new remastered official album with all score tracks from the nominated Score for BEST MUSIC "The Black Hole" (John Barry 1979)!
10. A complete soundtrack edition from "Robin Hood - Prince of thieves" (Michael kamen 1991) or "The 3 Musketeers" (M. kamen 1993)

Young Sherlock Holmes had an official 2 cd release, admittedly it was a limited edition. The sound quality is just fine. I listened to it just last week between the first listening to the Bernstein Box and the second.

Since I am new to all this I am sure I'm not right..this is just an opinion of ones I know I have had a tough time finding on cd:
Dragonslayer - Alex North
Flatliners- James Newton Howard
Die Hard- Michael Kamen
Predator- Alan Silvestri
Flowers in the Attic- Christopher Young
Solaris - Cliff Martinez
Saturn 3- Elmer Bernstein
Executive Decision- Jerry Goldsmith
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom- John Williams
Earthquake- John Williams
Of the above list, I am blessed to own all but Earthquake, Predator, Die Hard, Flatliners and Temple on cd. (If anyone wants to sell theirs let me know!) I am sure there are much rarer things out there, but these were my "holy grails"! :)
