Hello,

I'm with you, I try to keep my collection as instrumental as possable, I realize that sometimes there are one or two vocals on some of the soundtracks, But ones that are just a bunch of various artist with popular songs rehashed I don't bother with them. I also am not a fan of synth music.

Best Regards,
David Phoenix,AZ.

If a soundtrack has more than 15 minutes of instrumental score or a little more,i add that in my collection.

I'm not crazy about song collections either. There are a few exceptions of course like "Forrest Gump" and some others but film scores is what I am definitely seeking and not songs.

A lot of the soundtracks in the seventies to disco and/or rollerboogie films did have original songs written for the movie plus a collection of tunes used in the film. "Thank God It's Friday", "Can't Stop the Music", "Saturday Night Fever", "Skatetown U.S.A.", "Eyes Of Laura Mars" and "The Stud" come to mind. Also, the film score to "Heavy Metal" was issued seperately from the 2LP comp of rocker tunes, so you'd have a choice.
