Trevor Jones and the score from Nate and Hayes
I'm not even sure if the score from this film exists in any legal or otherwise form, but as I was
researching Mr. Jones' resume last night I was reminded of the fantastic score he did for the
film Nate and Hayes, starring Tommy Lee Jones and the young dude from Caddyshack.
Anyway, The Dark Crystal which is an amazing score in it's own right hails from the same period
of the early 80's when Nate and Hayes was released theatrically AND both scores were
preformed by the LSO. My question is: Can anyone enlighten me as to whether a legit copy of
Jones' score to Nate and Hayes is on the market anywhere?

Hi, released as "Savage Islands" in Europe, the score has never had an official release ever - the only way to get some of this great score was on the Edel 2CD Best Of Adventure compilation where it had the end credits performed by i think the City Of Prague Philharmonic under the direction of William Motzing. Until they release the original score (and its a Paramount film so that could be a while), this is the only way (legitimate anyway) to enjoy the music.
