Thank you for quick answer.
I had a proposition to purchase this title and seller was "absolutely sure the original Oscar-Promo-CD was pressed on blue CD-R only".
Now I know it's not true.
Thanks again,
Best regards,

Are you sure? I also thought it was a printed CD-R....

i would guess there would be a very very small minoroty on CD/R if any! I for one won`t touch a CD/R with a bargepole, or something of equal size!

I have it, and it is definately NO CDR but a genuine factory pressed CD.
Kind regards

It also didn't have artwork. The CD has artwork on it per the image on THIS website:

I know this is a couple of years after the fact but for anyone else researching an answer to this question, I have the definitive answer. The Oscar promo of this particular soundtrack (Mulan) comes in both varieties. The pressed disc is a picture disc and was included in an elaborate boxed set of scores and singles from Disney that had been nominated for the 1997 Oscar season. The other disc is a CD-R and comes with a plain white front & back insert. The wording on the CD-R variety states that it is the "Complete Soundtrack" whereas the picture disc refers to being the "Complete Score". The CD-R variety was produced for members of the music branch of the Academy to entice them to vote to nominate the score for an Oscar. The picture disc was sent to all voting members of the Academy and is a lot more common that the CD-R variety. Although the CD-R is scarcer than the picture disc variety, the picture disc usually sells for more, since it is considered more desirable to most collectors due to the artwork on the disc. Incidentally, the Disney boxed set for 1997 also contains the picture disc for "A Bug's Life" as well. I do not know if there is a CD-R variety of "A Bug's Life" or not. I have not seen one but it could exist, especially since there is a CD-R variety of Mulan.
