Upcoming scores that look promising?
Hello,
Are there any upcoming movie scores that you are looking forward to hearing? For me, Being a big David Shire fan I think that his score for the 2007 film "Zodiac"(About the serial Killer) may be one to watch for.
Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

Bill Conti returns to the saga .
I am waiting for the Zodiac score as well , I love David Shire . "Farewell My lovely" is one
of my favourite ! The most exciting seems to be tne next Spider Man if it doesn't change
(Chris Young) and the score Patrick Doyle composed for the 1st Eragon seems promising.
I am also waiting for the next Minguella/Yared score and movie .
And what about James newton Howard next work with Edward Zwick ?
Every Zwick film score is the promise of an epic one !
Best regards

SPEAKING OF "PROMISING" SCORES, AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS REGRETS THAT THE FANTASTIC ORCHESTRAL MUSIC FROM THE "BLADE" SERIES, ESPECIALLY BLADE TRINITY, NILE RODGERS' COMING TO AMERICA, ETC. ARE NEVER OFFERED IN THEIR ENTIRETY? WHY DO WE ALWAYS HAVE TO LISTEN TO 90% GARBAGE LYRICS AND 10% ORIGINAL SCORES WHEN ALL WE WANT ARE THE SCORES THEMSELVES?

The underrated giants of the past seem to be returning... I also look forward to the new David Shire score and there's also supposed to be a new score by Sir Richard Rodney Bennett for a Sidney Lumet film !

Hello,
Thank you all for answering my post on this subject. Dorian, I did'nt know about the Richard Rodney Bennett score, Sounds like another score to look forward too. I also think the score for "The Last king of Scotland" might be interesting though I don't know anything about the composer. I look forward to seeing the movie, I hear that Forest Whitaker may get the Oscar for the lead role.
Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

I agree! David Shire is one of the best and should be heard from much more often. Good interview with him somewhere on the internet. A person who speaks his mind honestly as well.
Bravo Giovani! Who's Giovani?
