The Robe on ebay
Hello, I saw the Robe on T.V. yesterday, and believe it or not it was for the first time. I enjoyed it throughly as they don’t make them like that any more. I thought to myself that I quite liked the soundtrack so I gave this a little search. It would seem that the Varese Sarabande label Club release is the one to have. I know that is rare but surly is this really the going price 270042597551 on ebay. I love my soundtracks but the problem for me tends to be that I can a completest sometimes and only very rarely will re recordings do. I only have a small soundtrack collection, Mostly Williams, but prohibitive prices like these put me off branching out and trying different composers. I buy the music because I like it and not because it is rare, the way it should be.

£190 ($357) for two CD's? He'll never sell it at that price. But maybe he's hoping that somewhere in the big wide world, there'll be somebody daft enough and rich enough to pay out that much. I've seen eBay sellers do this kind of thing many times, especially on auctions. They are very greedy and put too high a starting price on the item. The result is that nobody buys it and they're left with it on their hands. If he'd listed it at say, £50, he may have had a buyer.
David in England.

I gather you are in England as The Robe was on BBC 2 yesterday afternoon. Oh and I am not asking for a three figure sum.
