New Bond releases
I noticed something about Silva Screen re-issuing the Bond scores in 2 CD sets around the end
of October, but haven't been able to find any more info. Does anyone know about this and what
it entails?

Why don't you have a look in the database first before asking questions like this?

Thanks for that generous and thoughtful response, Ton. I in fact did look through the database
first, but I didn't think that info sufficiently tallied with the snippet I read, which implied re-
releases of all the scores, not some cheesy compilation.
One might suggest you do a little pre-checkng yourself before jumping to conclusions about
people's questions.

Don't forget who you are talking to, whyaduck!
ton could ban you if he likes to!

...AND BURN YOU AT THE STAKE AS WELL AFTER BANNING YOU 'whyaduck'!
In all seriousness... when I read your question yesterday and before I got the chance to respond, I got the impression and jumped to conclusions from the way you worded your question that EACH individulal previous score from every single James Bond film might be released on a 2 CD disc set.
Am I stretching your own words a little here?
If this is so (which most likely is not), I hope these haunting news you are referring to are more re-expanded & re-mastered original score releases and not some re-recordings unless they were re-recorded by some distinguished high caliber orchestra and conducted by John Barry himself of course.
Get my drift? Am I asking for a lot? I do tend to have a vivid childlike imagination you know!
Time to re-expand my self out of here and get to work!
Cheers amigo!!

Serifiot, yes that was my impression too. It seemed unlikely, if not pointless, after the recent
remastered editions but hey, who knows what's possible. That's why, having checked the
database and finding no satisfactory answer there, I wondered if anyone else had more info.
As to the other comments that have been made...
The emphasis, if not the entire point, of these forums, and indeed this community of
collectors (at least as I understand it), is helping one another. If anything, I'd have thought
those who run it would lead by example.
And if banning someone is an answer to criticism of a mistake, then the the problem is
certainly not with the one getting banned.
Cheers.
