Also, locojoe, why would you post a thread informing of a score that you yourself wish to purchase? I only ask because of the below listed post you replied to recently...

THE BURBS, THE BURBS, THE BURBS!!!
Has anyone heard any news regarding a re-releasing of The Burbs by Jerry Goldsmith?

Well this happens to be a score that is craved for by many collectors, who know a score only album does not exist (yet). Just comes with experience of whats available and what isn`t. Tell tales signs with sellers are mostly the use of the word Promo in the title as an example, or 2 disc extended edition, or a title that in someways refers to the film, of which there are many. Also promo film scores are a relative non entity compared to mainstream releases. Best thing to do if unsure is check the SC database, and if the label for a particualr score isn`t listed, ask a question! all very friendy on here and highly knowledgeable.

Gotcha. And here's another question while I'm at it, and your answering. What does the acronym OOPS stand for in reference to a soundtrack? I see it around a lot, especially on eBay listings.

Out Of Print. Hope that helps.

Hi, I have a question,
Email, you said in an earlier post "The Wheels are in motion", does that mean you have reported the guy selling Gremlins, to eBay for selling bootleg copies and if not will you do so?

Thanks
Rob

I did not get that either,i thought he was saying to me that i finally get it..i guess. :s

j.w.schenk, November 4, 2006; 1:47 PM

No.

anthonynputson, November 4, 2006; 2:41 PM

Honestly, I think it would be ridiculous to report someone for providing an album that the studios are reluctant to serve up. It would be kinda like shooting yourself in the foot.

Until there are official releases, I'll have to settle for the boot...

No it wouldn't. If it's advetised as being bootleg then fine. The buyer can make up their own mind. It's it's advertised as being the official factory pressed, etc CD then it's scummy. How would you like it if you didn't know it was bootlegged?
