I want to tell him (or her) that he's (or she's) EVIL!!! Lol, and then meet the person ever willing to pay that.

Wow, tough decision: down payment on a new car or buy a sealed copy of Joseph Koo's score? "Hey baby, instead of going out, let's stay home and listen to 'A Better Tomorrow'soundtrack together." Then you can justify the high price to her by saying this soundtrack is an investment: "Baby, one good soundtrack investment is worth a lifetime of work. Just look at what these eccentric maniacs are willing to pay for rare soundtracks. Christ, you'll be happy I passed on that great piece of real estate, just you wait--in twenty years we're bound to retire off this soundtrack."

Honestly, this is not worth the price he's asking, the man's insane.
The better edition to get is TACD-00002; it has the complete tracks for "ABT I &II." The one up for auction has a few extra tracks not featured on the previous release, like the vocal version of the children's song; the Taiwanese pop song; a soft-rock vocal tune; and the instrumental "Essence of a Hero" song played at bar.

You get more music for your hard-earned bucks with the original release. Check out the auctions on Yahoo of Japan-- once in a while these releases pop up. They are still very expensive, but you don't have to sacrifice your first born for it.

I own both these editions and I don't even have the balls to charge that much for them. Keep soundtracking...

I saw the box set (of the first release, ABT 1 & 2) which includes a bunch of cool stuff on Yahoo auctions Japan just recently, and the seller wanted about $300 USD. I thought that was alot! I also own both the releases, and for what this guy is charging I could have bought my two copies 20 or 30 times over! The most I ever saw those CD's (trying to be) sold for was about $400, but you got both versions and also the rare Sally Yeh CD "Face to Face" that has both of her songs that were featured in John Woo's "The Killer". But with ebay you never know!

So, I also think this is madness.
As I know, this TACD00002 includes scores to A Better Tomorrow I & II without the theme songs by Leslie Cheung. The CD includes some strange non-original "Karaoke" version music, too.
How about offering to release the "complete version"?

all that money....?
and it can't even make coffee!

I'm pretty sure that not one single soul in this community ever thought seriously about this offering, but just in case there was somebody ever wondering for 1 minute about it... this is total nonsense from some greedy evil (to say the least). Forget about it, it's not even that hard to find for somebody in Japan as the seller says.
