Hi,

So far I cannot name a current film score that I liked. I'm awaiting two that I very much hope will be my favourite scores of 2006:

1) CASINO ROYALE
2) ALL THE KING'S MEN

Other than that, I was extremely disappointed of the blockbuster film scores this year, even in the case of one of my favourite composers, John Powell's 'X-Men' - a very badly edited CD release, in my ears. I also found 'Mission: Impossible III' lacking cohesion, ideas and 'catchiness'.

Regarding older films released on CD, I'm holding back with the 2nd volume of 'Lord Of The Rings' because I found the first set very unpleasantly edited (track marks set badly, jarring actor vocals) as well and will wait quite a while until I find it cheaper than it is sold for now. I might even just stick with the 1CD version.

I'm currently awaiting these releases which I expect to become my favourites of this year:

1) LA PIOVRA 2CD
2) GIU LA TESTA 2CD
3) STARGATE
4) GUNS FOR SAN SEBASTIAN
