High prize for Runaway at ebay

Runaway Deluxe edition just went away for 105 $ !. For an article that hasn´t been delivered out by Varese pretty high. Things become more and more mad.
By the way: tarantula records sells copies of Runaway for 33,95 €.

I wished they had re-released and expanded RENT-A-COP instead. Then I would have bought (not from Ebay, of course ;-)) this time. RUNAWAY was not interesting enough for me.

It's very agrivating to see people who simply buy these soundtracks for the soul purpose of reselling it for ridiculous prices on places like eBay. That forces the true fans of the music to pay out the @#% for it. But what can you do? I think the same people who annoy me with this soundtrack purchasing practice are also doing the same thing right now with the upcoming Playstation 3. Oh well, I suppose I will have to deal with it, as we all do. Just expressing my feelings on the matter.

(drakemarone) True. The sheisters are buying multiple copies in order to resell. It seems to me the label producing such recordings would limit purchase (unless they have a hand in the exagerated pricing themselves).

Drakemarone - I could not have said it better. I'm with you. Would be nice if every one was limited to 1 copy only. Anyway, I'm still irritated and alway will be over the Robe deluxe edition. My fav. soundtrack of all time and don't have it. I see a lot of funny business going on, on e-bay. Did anyone see buysoundtrax bid and win Inchon for 202.50 on 10-29-06 and could have bought it for half that from someone else. Looks pretty funny to me. Even the buy it nows were a lot cheaper that week.

Anyone got their copy of Runaway Deluxe Edition yet? I haven't got mine yet, but am really looking forward to it. My boss is a huge collector of soundtracks, and told me that I should definately pick up a copy because it's Goldsmith, it's good, and it will sell out very quickly. He was right about two things, I'm waiting to see how good it is.

drakemarone, November 17, 2006; 10:29 AM

I have not received mine as of yet but I'm in no particular rush since enough accumulated film music is still on hold for me to listen to.
As far as BSX and Inchon, they did something similar with ''The Pick-Up Artist''.

PS

If you really want ''The Robe'' dspin I suggest you be persistant with eBay and make it among your favorite searches if you already have not done it so you can be notified by email whenever it's auctioned.
I purchased a sealed copy not that long ago at a reasonable price.
Be patient and soon it will be yours!

I for one can understand fellow collectors seeing the crazy prices these titles are getting on ebay, and feeling upset because they missed out on say, Runaway for example. But to ask or expect labels like Intrada or Varese,to limit how many copies they sell to each person is also crazy. They are running a business,so all they are concerned about is selling copies, whether it be one copy per person, or one hundred copies per person,as long as they sell them. Its called free enterprise.
