A Bit Dissapointed....

Ok, my question is this. Does anyone know if there's a way to get a hold of the scores done on 'The Shining' by the Russian composers? I recently purchased a 2 CD set of Wendy Carlos's work on 'The Shining'. A lot of the music contained in the 2 CD's is not very reminicent of the score from the movie. I was told by a friend that there were Russian composer(s) that did music for it as well, and that that's probably the music that I'm thinking of. Does anyone know more on this?

I would think if you know the music from the Shining you would know Wendy Carlos had most
of her music cut and replaced in the film. That is why she releases what was called
Rediscovering lost Scores ... I love them a lot I can understand being angry that you don't get
the classical compositions from the film. You can do what I did and that was look up the
composers and find the CDs usually a great works of that compser features the music heard in
the film you can find the listing on www.imdb.com under soundtrack listing and they give the
titles again you may be dissapointed since Kubrick would use just small amounts of the tracks
some of them if I can remember run 10 mins plus but maybe used a few mins so to speak.
