I got my big batch of new releases today after weeks of waiting.
Right now 'The Pick-Up Artist/Sherlock Holmes In New York' (not just a rare CD now, but also a GOOD one) ended, Bruce Rowland's "All The Rivers Run" is about to take over. In queue for listening later today: North's "The Shoes Of The Fisherman", Morricone's "La Piovra" and "La Sconosciuta" and eventually Bernstein's "Saturn 3".

Just heard Malcolm Arnold Filmmusic. His "Inn of sixth happiness" would worth while a complete release. The LSO is great!.
Heard "Land before vour time " yesterday evening. Horners work two decades ago was really good.
Now i´ll play "In cold blood" by Quincy Jones. Why the hell isn´t there a CD-release?.
Greetings

Besides dust?!...
Regardless of the fact that it used to warm up my claustrophobic cd's which definetely made me and my cd's quite nervous... my cd changer hasn't worked for years... I guess from over exhaustion poor thing.
My portable cd player which is hooked to my stereo and very loving to my cd's and cool friendly has Goldsmith's complete "Alien" score which seems I haven't taken out for days now but only to switch discs.
I even go to sleep with "Alien", the music I mean, among other things of course.
Great stuff!... I think I am slooowly mutating!!
As for now, I'm listening to the beautiful world of cyberspace Baroque!
I think I'll drag myself and put on "Species".
Salut!!...

Horner's COMMANDO!
(I know it's a bit cheesy but for some reason I can't get enough of it)
vodka_kayou, November 25, 2006; 2:11 PM

Here it's Laurence Rosenthal's PETER THE GREAT playing now. A truly great score ! I'm listening to it for a third time this week. Interesting how in the main theme the composer makes a reference to Prokofiev who lived few hundred years later than the tzar.
- Dorian
P.S. David, thanks for your last message and I will write to you very soon.

Das parfum, music by Tom Tykwer. I saw the film lately in a sneak preview. I was impressed by the film and the music. The CD is a must have for all. Berliner Philharmoniker under the batton of Sir Simon Rattle. Great chorus too.
European filmmusic is a lot more original than the recent stuff from the US. They unfortunately have to follow the temp-track score...
s.tonkens, November 26, 2006; 9:35 AM

Perfume's music wasn't written just by Tykwer, Reinhold heil & Johnny klimek also composed.
