Ghost Story
Wow, got lucky on this one. Yesterday I purchased a copy of Philippe Sarde's 1981 score to 'Ghost Story' from the bargain bin at Buysoundtrax. I guess they only had a couple left. I got my copy for $9.95. This morning they had updated their rarities section with a copy of 'Ghost Story' that they are now selling for $39.95. I have never seen the movie, does anyone have this score? It looks eerie, just wondered how the music is.

I didn't know it was so rare. This is one of my less played Sarde soundtracks but I'm not a fan of horrors. I guess the music should work well in the movie (which is reportedly flawed).
I see now that SAE offers it for $24.95.

A good film. Last role for Fred Astaire if I'm not mistaken. Great recording if you enjoy beautiful symphonic scoring and film music of quality.

It's a good score, but above all it is a great soundtrack because it works wonders in the movie.

Yeah, I love creepy scores. I have a few that I really love, but just have a hard time listening to alone sometimes. I have the unfortunate quality of being 'too excitable' with scary music, as well as movies.

Well then turn up the volume so the neigbors can hear too!
As a matter of fact I have a recording called "Music To Scare Hell Out Of Your Neighbors".
