"Not Quite Human" & "Dream To Believe"
I'm enquiring about two movies firstly the 80s disney flick Not Quite Human (The first One) and Dream To Believe.
There's a song I like I think it's played in the scene where Chip is at the coffee place with all the kids he does a flip, I'd be grateful to anyone who could give me a list of the songs that were played in Not Quite Human as unfortunately, I can't remember the words to this particular song nor can I find a soundtrack listing for this movie or Dream To Believe. I assume that no soundtrack was made for either films :-(
The other movie, Dream To Believe the scene when Robin is in this garage where she goes to work out her dance moves, and this song is played, it has the words "Desire" it it it's a great 80s song just wish I knew the title and who sings it, anyway, some of the words that I can remember are: "I can feel the flame igniting to fire, and I feel these flames are taking me higher and higher, no-body can take my desire, no-one can take it away, no-one is gonna take my desire as it's taking me higher and higher ... no-one will stand in my way" that's all the words I know, hopefully someone can help me with the songs, perhaps wouldn't mind giving me a list of all songs from the movies name and artist, as I haven't had any success in tracking them down and I would really appreciate the help.
Kind regards,
Ellie.

Hey Ellie,
I too am lookin for the music from Not Quite Human. I don't remember what the music was
playing during the scene you talk about, but I want to find the music that is played at the
dance.
I have searched everywhere for the music. All that I have been able to find is this:
Tom Scott was the composer for this film. a woman named Kathleen W also contributed to
the score. Don't know if she was a vocalist or what but maybe that can help us.
Hope you can find what your looking for.

Thanks, I will try that I will go to google and type in his name and contact him and the other person you mentioned and see what happens. I did google for a soundtrack however, no soundtrack came up for Not Quite Human so I will try this then. If possible, would someone be able to give me a list of all the songs from the end credits? That would make it easier so that way I can see the songs and I should be able to recognize it. If possible, if someone can do the same for Dream To Believe - a list of songs in the movie that would be so great and would mean so much to me if someone can find that one song in particular from the movie it goes "Desire" if that's not possible then if someone can just give me the list of all songs that were played at the end in the credits that would be ok too if no-one knows the song I'm talking about.
Kind Regards,
Ellie.

It be nice if I could find the songs from ''Flying" however, no soundtrack was ever released as far as I know. Is there anyone that can help us locate the songs? (The songs and artist of the songs from this movie are mentioned in the list in previous forum message) They're extremely rare songs :-(
Thanks,
Ellie.

I'd prefer it on an Audio CD to vinyl though.

Hi Ellie,
I have the “ Flying” dvd, at the end they list the songs and write: " original soundtrack album on Polydor Records, casettes and compact discs marketed by Polygram.
As far as I know both Records don´t exist anymore, so I don´t think we could buy there the soundtrack.
But I think it existed, probably only for a short time...
The 3 songs with ***
One of my favorite song is “Bound to your love”, you can purchase the album “On y vas” (Japanese import cd) at ebay. com ( I cannot buy without paypal)
The Flirts Album is no problem, is not rare, you can buy at Amazon.com for example.
Anyzette: Baladoun (Maxi Tour 45) I saw on a french site on vinyl
These are the songs to buy, the others are even not mentioned or listed anywhere.
The worse is Stephanie Mills, she has so much albums and no track from “ Flying” !
But we shouldn´t give up the seeking...
Do you know the official site of Olivia D´abo?
Here it is:

Have a nice day,

Thanks,
Ellie.

Hi Ellie,
I don´t have any of the songs, "Bound to your love" album " On y vas" on Amazon costs a fortune, but if you have internet you can google, too!
Anyway costs a cd at about 30 dollars when you buy at ebay, but I don´t have paypal account so I can´t buy there.
Anyway the album is quite rare, and because it is japanese import cd not too widespread.
I think the songs are english, but I am not sure.
On vinyl you can get it too, with google you find sure a possibility which suits you.
About soundtrack I don´t know any better then I have already written, so it might have been released at Polygram or not, who knows?

Do you know if the song, "Bound To Your Love" would be the full version on the audio CD and if it's in english as I only want it if it's in english not a Japanese Import. Can you find out for me please?
Also, anyone had any luck in finding any of the songs from either movie? From, Not Quite Human I'm after the name of a song and the artist (given in my description of the scene where this song is played in the movie) anyway, if anyone can help me please don't hesitate to email me.
Thanks,
Ellie.
PS. I'm obsessed with the 80s:-)

On y vas japan import cd is english, as an ebay seller writes.
Here is the link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/MERI-D-On-Y-Vas-CD-JAPAN-87-AOR-John-Parr-MTB_W0QQitemZ140162059227QQihZ004QQcategoryZ307QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting
It is anyway not an official confirmation, but I think also the songs are english.
My question is only why are you waiting until others find the things out?
If you are a big fan- you could invest little more time finding out informations and searching for the songs.
And you have google and internet, too.
I don´t mind it evil, it is my personal impression on your outings at this and other forums.

To answer your question I have done my research I'm constantly on google otherwise, I would not be asking. It's a pity that you can't find any of the songs from the movie. Good thing someone found Bound to your love I think that was my fav song in the movie. Anyone had any luck in finding the full version of this song as it's so short when played in the movie?
Also, anyone able to help me with my other question regarding "Not Quite Human"?
Thanks,
Ellie.

Ellie,
To answer to your ridiculous statements, I quote:
“It's a pity that you can't find any of the songs from the movie. Good thing someone found Bound to your love”
Well, make the things clear:
It was ME who made the list and located 3 songs (inclusive “Bound to your love”) where to find and buy. Sure they are not the only place to get, I made only an example.
My opinion was right, you are still keep asking others rather to handle yourself.
(Creativity= do the things, and do not wait until the others do it for you)
Good luck for searching the soundtack, if exist...
Bye,

New info on Not Quite Human!
Good news for those interested in the movie "Not Quite Human"
Quite a long time ago I watched the movie again till I got to the dance scene and the credits.
I wrote down as much of the lyrics that I could and I asked an 80's forum about the movie
and music. Its taken a year for me to get this back to you all, Sorry for the wait!!
The group that performs at the dance was a band from Arizona called Major Figures. Yes, it
was an actual band during the 80's. The 2 songs the band is creditied for are "Star" and
"Money Tree." the song the band plays at the dance is Money Tree. I don't know when Star
is played during the movie.

Thanks for the info on Not Quite Human :) just regarding Dream to believe anyone know if you can get the full version of the song, Bound to your love and what about any of the other songs from the movie? I've done my research on google however, no luck.
Thanks,
Ellie.
ellie.i, October 12, 2007; 1:52 AM

Hi Ellie,
I thought you might want to know this. I went to Youtube.com and decided to do a search on
the group Major Figures. Someone named Joel Samuel posted a couple of live performance clips
of them. and one of the performances is of the song "Money Tree" which they play in "Not
Quite Human." I couldn't believe it. How cool is that! Go check them out.

Thanks for that. I'll check it out it be good if I can find the full version of the song bound to your love from Dream to believe and other songs from the movie. Pity that no soundtrack was made for the film who knows we might get lucky and someone might find the songs and put them on youtube as well which would be cool :)
ellie.i, October 19, 2007; 12:20 AM

Thanks Phaota :) this is most kind of you.
It would be cool if the song from Not Quite Human was the studio version rather than the live version on youtube wouldn't it?
Ellie.

Hello all. Does anyone know what the song is in Not Quite Human that starts playing during Chip, Becky, and Dr. Carson's car trip when they're moving?
It's at about 24 minutes into the movie and during the song there's a montage of them all going shopping, decorating their new house, having a barbecue, throwing a football in the park, driving to school orientation, etc.
Some of the lyrics to what I think the chorus is are "It's a matter of time. Won't be long 'till you find this is where your future's meant to be. The place where you belong has finally come along. Look around you now and you will see."
I'd really like to know the name of this song and if there's any way I could get it. =)
