Film Score Message Board
This may seem a strange message (question) to post on this site but I am at a loss and need the help of people from this site's membership. Question:
How does one join the "Film Score Message Board"?
Now I don't think of that site as being in direct competition to this one and my interest therein does not signify any displeasure, etc. with this site (my first port of call, time after time) it's just that at times there is a thread on the other site to which I would like to contribute.
So my problem: I tried to register using my domain name address and the password transmission was somehow corrupted; I have applied to join using my hotmail address - no response; I have attempted to join using my wife's domain name - again no success.
I have emailed the administrators on at least three occasions over the last 2 months or so - no response.
When I attempt to logon and ask for my password to be sent to me I get the message:
PROBLEM
Your password was not properly sent. Please try again at another time, or send an e-mail to "boardadmin@filmscoremonthly.com."
- but, as above, don't get any reply from "boardadmin..."
Is there anyone watching this site from FS who can help or anyone else in this community who can contact FS to ask that they contact me to advise what I'm doing wrong.
Or failing that tell me why I'm barred from joining (e.g. are there already too many members?)
Hoping for a positive reply - thanks to all and happy collecting / listening.

Hi there
I had the same problem when i tried to register.I would register my details and would never get a password sent to my email.I used two different domain names. I only managed to register by switching to internet explorer and not firefox which is my default browser. For some reason it just seems to only work in Internet Explorer.

Cheers, venu71, but I already use IE (v6, now v7) so that's not it - I do wonder if it could be my firewall causing the problem but as I'm not technically minded ....

hey Mitch,
seems to be that I'm not the only one who have such problems.
A week ago I also tried to contact the admin but everyone is dead over there. Maybe someone should call the admin by phone or something.
I use Firefox (don't like IE) one of the best browser I know, so it can't be that only IE is accepted. Otherwise the html code must be changed.
Anyway I hope someone will fix it soon.

Same here. Tried to sign up there since 2001 and only succeeded in 2004. Wrote to them several times - no response. No clue what made me luckier that one day in 2004.
But then again, people on HERE are nicer and more constructive :-) The FSM board is full of composer freaks whose tolerance for other opinions mirrors the religious right or the Taleban.

I don't remember having any trouble becoming a member at FSM's forum which is really not that long ago.
As far as the forum as a whole, it can be quite freaky at times to say the least but this can stand true for all forums I guess.
I basically use it to browse through and read whatever holds my attention so as to get informed if possible.
I just cannot take nonsensical and unecessary venomous posts.
I prefer the warmth and civilized helpful manner of our own Soundtrack Collector forum which definitely can be more constructive as well as its setup.
