Just how desperate ...

... must one be to bid £56.00 on the following (eBay UK) with approx 3hrs to go.

A View To A Kill (CD) - EXPANDED!!!!!!!!
---------------------------------
Described as:
This is a rare CD of the expanded score to the 1985 James Bond film A View To A Kill by John Barry. It has a logo "The Expanded 007 Series" on the cover.
I have my own opened copy of this CD. It has a pale green base, not like regular CDs. Having played it, I can say it is not made from a DVD 5.1 mix bootleg.

There there are no sound effects or movie dialogue, just music.

It is not that much longer than the regular release, but it is around 58 mins long.

The sound quality is simply excellent. The CD comes with full color artwork, protective sealed, in a jewel case.

The tracklist is as follows:

01. Microchip Retrieval
02. A View To A Kill (Film Version)
03. Chasing May Day
04. Bond Meets Stacey
05. Bond Meets Stacey (Alternate)
06. Stable Espionage
07. Stable Espionage (Alternate)
08. Tibbett's Death
09. Horse Chase
10. Rolls Royce Escape
11. Dropping Out
12. Bond Underwater
13. Wine With Stacey
14. Fire Truck Chase
15. Discussing Zorin
16. Airship To Silicon Valley
17. May Day Bombs Out
18. Stacey Attacks
19. Stacey Attacks (Alternate)
20. Golden Gate Bridge Fight
21. Golden Gate Bridge Fight (Alternate)
22. A View To A Kill (End Title, Film Version)
23. A View To A Kill (End Title, Alternate)
24. A View To A Kill (Album Version)
25. A View To A Kill (Alternate)

For unreleased score collector's only. I will not refund buyers who are naive about/disappointed with the final product if they do not ask me about the item before buying. Leaving negative feedback without contacing me first will result in an automatic negative feedback being left.

I welcome all questions.

I have over 300 rare scores available. Please email me your address if you wish to see my complete list.

Anyone had dealings with this seller?

He(She?)'s open about it not being much longer than the regular release so what do the bidders want from this "Expanded" (unofficial?) release?

Oh, and I do so hate those eBay sellers who wait for the buyer's feedback before providing feedback! If the buyer pays without delay then what negative comment can a seller make? (okay, rant over!)

Yeah i hear ya mitch. Ive not bought myself but the seller has been dealing in boots for a while. The seller was selling Polar Express and Predator ripoffs quite a while ago, claiming to have picked them up while on a trip to the states, he/she sold anawful lot of them also at i think was 15.00 pounds a time ($30). Just a dipstick trying to make a quick buck. That last negative feedback says it all really.

Mitch,

Or how about when you provide prompt payment, and you never get feedback. On my last two transactions with eBay, I have recieved no feedback at all!! What they hey is up with that. I mean, I understand that some people sell to a large amount of people, but it's simple business ethics. Someone pays you, you see that, you leave feedback. How hard is this people, I mean really, how hard? Whew, just wanted to add my 2 cents.

I can understand when sellers wait for the buyer's feedback. I think it is legitimate to wait for the completion of the transaction before giving feedback, i.e. until you know that the item arrived.

I often see buyers giving negative feedback about things they never even contacted the seller about. So if the buyer gives a negative feedback having never given the seller a chance to fix what bothers him (the buyer), I find it somewhat ok if the seller gives negative feedback as well.

(I myself have never given negative feedback so far and have never received negative or neutral feedback.)

Either way, it's always the one who gives feedback first who risks more.

Urs

P.S.: drakemarone, how long have you waited for the feedback? Some sellers seem to give feedback just once a week, sometimes even just once a month.

Handstand, well for one of the items it's been over a month. For the other it's been about 3 weeks. I mean I don't want to be a jerk and say, "Do you plan to leave me feedback?" So, what do I do?

drakemarone, December 19, 2006; 12:27 PM

Email them drakemarone and diplomatically and politely ask them if every aspect of the transaction was satisfactory and to please leave you positive feedback for all items purchased so you can built up your feedback creditability.
I guess some sellers being very busy can understandably take quite long and some sellers might forget so it is okay to remind them or some sellers are nonchalant and don't even bother which I find quite rude but it does occur and there is really nothing you can do about it except not to leave feedback the next time you purchase from them.
Remember no feedback is better than negative feedback but of course there is no reason for a buyer or seller to receive negative or even neutral feedback if the whole transaction was okay unless either party does so by mistake or worst is a psychotic buffoon.

Cheers!

Hi,

Thanks to those who have put up replies ... I hadn't meant to create a posting about eBay feedback but that appears to be the topic!

To Handstand, I can accept that a seller will be nervous about his/her buyer's reaction (I have sold enough on eBay to know this feeling) but surely the logic of your argument is that the buyer must post f/b first - this means that the buyer will be wary of leaving (possibly correct) -ve f/b whereas he/she has acted perfectly by paying without delay. That's hardly fair on the buyer hence the seller should leave f/b first - I think eBay should make this a requirement! I know that I will not bid on an item if the seller advises of this practice ... of course that still leaves many sellers who do not say so up front!

Incidentally, I saw the AVTAK CD had reached the £80+ mark but failed to check its final selling price and now eBay does not recognise the item number ~ strange!

The seller is no longer registered Mitch.
