Angelo Francesco Lavagnino scores?
Hello,
I only own four of A.F.Lavagnino's scores, But enjoy them very much. I wanted to know what other scores by this composer are worth getting in your opinion? Looking at the database he appears to be one of those composers that needs to have more of his scores released.
The scores I own:
"Falstaff"
"Gli Ultimi Giorni Di Pompei"
"The Naked Maja"
"Venere Imperiale"(My favorite so far *****stars)
Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

I'll have to 2nd Gli Ultimi Giorni Di Pompei (The Last Days Of Pompei). The 1959 Steve Reeves film and directorial debut of Sergio Leone.

Well Lavagnino "western" scores are funny but not the best of his long works for cinema, if you love "Venere Imperiale" (absolute masterpiece) try to found on CD jewels like "La Sposa Bella", "Kali Yug La dea Della Vendetta" and his great Space scores that appears in the compilation "Science Ficction". Other masterpieces like "Lost Continent", "Vaticano Secondo" or "Empire Of the Sun" are only in LP!!

Lavagnino's score for the western movie "Requiem per un Gringo" is a masterpiece. It's out by Tsunami (with some great bonustracks from other scores) and by Saimel (with two other great scores).
