Rocky 4, remastered import question!

befiore I buy this again, I have toknow one thing. Is the score from Vince Dicola complete in this version? I know it includes one additional track not in the origignal US release however; there was some of the WAR score not included from the film

Thanks in advance,

Hi Joel,

I'm not sure what you really want to know. I bought this CD this year and as far as I can see, when you compare the old versions with the new one on http://soundtrackcollector.com/catalog/soundtrackdetail.php?movieid=2421, the only difference is the inclusion of one additional song by Survivor on the new release.

WAR and TRAINING MONTAGE are the same as on the old releases.

Thanks for the response. I beleive there is two differnt reissues to this soundtrack. One is from Japan and one in US. The reason I asked about the score from Dicola was becuase in the description it sttae sit is newly expanded to synce with the film. And if you compare the films score to the score "WAR", on the original cd, it is not the same. That is mainlty what I was interested in.

Thanks,

Well, I can only say that the WAR track on the new Volcano/Legacy 82876-75989-2 CD is the same as on the ROCKY STORY compilation CD (Volcano 32000-2) that was released in 1990.

Here is the link to the version that claims to be remastered and resequenced. I assume this is the same version you have the 2006 volcano label.

No the score is not complete...this remastered release is the same as the past three Rocky IV releases apart from the additional track by Surviour (man against the world, i think). If you check reviews on amazon.com abou this remastered release many people have commented about this. I emailed Perserverance Records a month or two ago and apparently they have a license request into Sony to release DiColas score as featured in the film and not the studio re-recording.
