Mmmm... Battlestar Galactica 4CD set!

Seriously, if I could afford it (alas, I can't right now) I would buy it right away. I'm surprised it is still available, since it came out a few years ago.

I've always thought it was one of the very best scores for a science-fiction epic.

If memory serves me, the only thing missing from this set is the tiny piece of music which can be heard on each episode immediately after the main title sequence.

In my opinion yes this is noteworthy if you are a fan of Battlestar Galactica or of Stu Phillips. I was very impressed with the compositional skills of Mr. Phillips after listening to these CDs. Previously I had heard this music while watching the shows but had not focused on the music. Other scores such as Buck Rogers did not impress me but this set turned me around as far as my admiration for Mr. Phillips.

Paul, I'd get this set only if you're a serious fan of the classic Battlestar Galactica, or the music of Stu Phillips. I've been a fan of this series since it first aired and when I found out just recently that this set was available, I simply had to have it. It blows the original soundtrack away and really satisfied my need to hear this music in the clear. There's stuff on here that I'd searched for for a good 20 years.

I've also heard there were less than 1,000 copies made of this set, so even tho the price is high, if you're interested in owning an important piece of classic Galactica memorabilia you may want to consider it.
