But 2010 was already released....right?

Perhaps Shire's release might be the film score to ''The Promise''...

Sure there are no clues in Doug's announcement?

''... the arrival of Volume 39 of our Special Collection.

... more David Shire, a two offer with another composer represented on the other half of the CD as well. We're talking about someone with multiple Oscars and various other awards...

A proper announcement comes up Monday the 12th, around 5:15 Pacific time...

We don't expect this one to set the world on fire nor establish world peace... License is for just 1200 copies so don't put things off too long if you find it to your liking.''

Goldsmith is out of the question for the other mystery score unless Doug's reference to multiple Oscars includes nominations as well.

John Williams, Alfred Newman, ???

Newman is not a good match for Shire..., but Williams fits perfectly!

"so I don't want him to read this and feel neglected!"

So the other composer is surely still alive. This excludes Alfred Newman definitely.

It most likely will be Williams. I'm quite sure he does not feel neglected by any means. His birthday is coming up by the way. Long live JW!

Not necessarily. Leonard Rosenman for example fits too.

Does anyone else besides me think it is childish for some companies to announce an upcoming release, but not the title. Why the guessing game. Did that in junior high.

What about "Short Circuit" - that was a cool score by David Shire!!!!!!

With also possilbly Charles Fox's score to "Short Circuit 2" - I looked him up on IMDB, and he seems to have been nominated for several awards, and won various.

Well...........how about it Soundtrack Collectors!!!!!!!!!!!
