Planes, trains, and automobiles movie soundtrack
Looking for this in a music CD, I have been told it was released very briefly in 1993.

Yes, it's listed here. It's hard to come by. Two things to note:
1. It doesn't contain any of the film's score. So if you're looking for that track when they are leaving the train, for example, it's not there.
2. It doesn't contain the film version of "Everytime You Go Away" (female vocal).
