Question

SANTAOLALLA has done it again!!!

Gustavo Santaolalla has won the "Anthony Asquith" for best film music at the 2007 BAFTA Awards... Heaven help us!

I'm of the opinion that his score for BABEL wasn't even as good as BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN's. Said that, I'm worried about the possibility that he wins the Oscar again. Among the other competitors for the BAFTA, I think Alexandre Desplat's THE QUEEN was a far better score.

Greetings,
Angel

Im sorry but i cannot accept this for the second time! I think JNH should of been in with a chance with Lady In The Water, and in The Great Eatlon we have the best track of the year.

I totally agree with- email -regarding Lady in the water! i think both the film and the score are really a masterpiece, but i admit i also like Santaolalla's music! obviously he just won an Oscar and so.......he has just received "enough" in his film music career!
i am a guitarist myself so i feel to defend this musician, but i perfectly understand what angeldibujo says and i agree too.
In my opinion i'd like to see Glass or Newman to win the oscar...
i think it would be the right thing!the other composers could wait for......
ciao;)
