I have White Rock which was a soundtrack Wakeman did for a Winter Olympics film back in the 1970s. I haven't check to see if this is on cd, but I played the heck out of that Journey to The Center of the Earth and the 6 Wives of Henry the Eighth on LP and cassette.

Great news, but ...

... I was just visiting the composer's website :

http://www.rwcc.com/

and although last updated on January 7th there is no mention of a BURNING cd-release.

I would wait a while for the first reports, especially since Intrada and SAE do not list it.
And this could not be because of a copyright issue since both don't care anymore - see the AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS incident.

What happened with 'Around The World in 80 Days'?

Hi guys,

yesterday evening I received an answer from the Webmaster over at rwwc.com and he said that they are not aware of a BURNING cd-release but this does not automatically mean it is dubios because there are so many releases worldwide and they are not always informed by the labels.
O.K. ?!?!

About 80 DAYS ... The Label in question - HitParade - (ab)uses apparently a similar loophole in international copyrights as Tsunami & Co. did.
And while these European labels are condemned in the US -- 80 DAYS is not only sold at Intrada, SAE, etc. but the CD is also reviewed over at FSM !!
And Lukas Kendall is (was) always very much against such releases.

Well, typical double standards at work.

There was an interesting thread over at FSM in which some issues concerning the soundtracks by record labels which are considered 'non grata' record labels by soundtrack collectors, especially in the US, such as Tsunami, Membran, etc. were nicely clarified.

Yes, this thread was interesting especially if you note that there is no explanation/comment from Lukas why he don't interfere !!

As I said, double standards.

Maybe he owes Didier Deutsch a favor.

This is officially coming out. I had emailed the guys over at moviegrooves.com about this. They told me it would be in stock by March 5, but it is coming out and is the standard 11 track version (US LP had only 10). It is not a bootleg
