PERCEPTO RECORDS- GONE AND TOOK MY MONEY

Do not order from Percepto Records! I have ordered from them before, and ordered something from them a month ago, and never received the item.

Their website is still up and you can order, and even receive an order confirmation, and they will take the money out of your account- but- they will not ship your item! I tried e-mailing them using the address given, the e-mail came back.

I tried calling the phone number that was provided in my bank account transaction- and the number that Percepto gave was to a private residence!

I just wanted to get the word out to the soundtrack community- do not order anything from Percepto Records. I lost $24 to them.

That is good to know, sorry to hear that it costs you some money though!
It is clear that they aren't working very hard on their website as the news page hasn't been updated since summer 2006.
Did you pay with paypal or credit card? Maybe you can contact those 2 companies and try to get your money back.
For percepto products, you can saver order them from screenarchives.com, they seem to sell all their remaining cd's.
good luck man!

My intuition told me to avoid Percepto records years ago because of their pay now and see if it's in stock later policy.

Too bad Vic Mizzy doesn't have a better crew producing his old scores.

Heres a thought. If you live in the USA file a complaint with the better business bureau. You can give then $24.00 worth of grief easily.

I spoke to Ed at Screen Archives. Phone him. http://www.screenarchives.com/contactus.cfm
He has Percepto material in stock and might be able to help you.

Wait four to six weeks to inquire about orders not recieved (the website for Screen Archives says).

To hell with that I say. They should get off their asses and ship what people pay for a hell of a lot quicker than that.

Many good places on the internet will have your order in your hands in seven to ten days. There is no reason why they can't too.

You have to fight for that $24.00 as if it were a million.

Give 'em hell Harry!

I may contact Screen Archives- but I just don't want to have to pay for it again- that would make the soundtrack cost over $50. It's not worth that!

I hate to call it a loss, but I don't know if I'll get it back. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau.

I did one order at mid december 2006, and after four weeks of silence, and no response of my emails i thought the worst. But finally the cds arrived well on mid January 2007, so, they worked OK, but a little slow and bad customer service

I ordered in January of 2007, and it's mid-March and I still never received my order. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau.

Luckily someone shared their cd with me- and I don't feel bad since I purchased my own copy and never received it!

I GOT MY CD!!!!!!

Over 2 months after ordering the cd from Percepto, I received the cd. I also received a check containing a complete refund for the cd.

I don't know if reporting them to the Better Business Bureau helped or what, but it is now taken care of. I still don't think I will ever order from Percepto again.

hey, does anyone know where i can get a copy of killer klowns from outer space soundtrack? after hearing about the percepto's lack of regard for collectors, i thought maybe it could be bought somewhere here in new york city. footlight records is gone. so,does anyone else know where?

Order at your own risk!

I finally received what I ordered, but almost a year later- and only after I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I also received a check for a refund. They don't update their site very often, and they don't respond to questions. They definitely don't hold up to other sites like Screen Archives or Intrada. I'm not ever ordering from them again.
