Angelo Badalamenti : Is there a soundtrack of PARENTS (1989) ?
PARENTS is a Horrormovie directed by Bob Balaban and Angelo Badalamenti contributed the score. imdb lists 'Continental Cuisine' and 'Meatloaf Mambo' as some of the titles. 'Meatloaf Mambo', a salsa/mambo styled instrumental from the opening scene sounds like Tito Puente has done it himself (i intended it for a compliment)!
was there ever released a soundtrack to this movie ?

Apparently, there is no soundtrack to this movie. The title cue by Badalamenti, 'Meatloaf Mambo' is really a treat, I love it.
Composer Angelo Badalamenti provides only a few cues for "Parents", recorded by live musicians. For the most part, the score was penned by Jonathan Elias for synthesizers & keyboards.
