Brute Force/Killers Rozsa cd

I have a cd of the Tony Thomas Lp of "Naked City/Killers" (which isn't listed on this site). I know Tsunami has a cd with "Brute Force/Killers." I'm wondering of it's worth pursuing the OOP Soundtrack Library cd of "Brute Force/Killers."

The Tsunami release has a better sound quality than the SL bootleg.

Thanks. So you've actually heard the Soundtrack Library cd? I only ask because I don't see it in your collection.
If the track times are accurate here, looks like the Soundtrack Library tracks are longer, which makes me curious to hear both cds.

I know someone who owns the SL edition, but couldn't convince him yet to part with it... ;-)

In fact, both editions seem to have their material taken directly from the movies. Related to
modern recordings, both sound inferior - hisses and irregularities in speed and sound - but
the Tsunami release has been restored to an audible result. And you're right, some tracks are
edited / faded out, presumably due to beginning dialogue.

Apart from that, these are fantastic Film Noir scores and if you don't mind them sounding
somewhat "historical", you'll surely enjoy them.

I emailed Tsunami but he can't sell directly to the USA anymore, except thru Ebay. I'm surprised your SL friend wouldn't make you a copy, considering it's rarity. Better to have more copies in circulation.

Surprising answer. Was it John Elborg, the label's chief, who gave you this shipping info? He's
usually very helpful.

Yep, I could have gotten a copy of the SL-CD, but I'm one of those lunatics going for originals
only.. ;-)

Yep, it was John. I've bought from him a few years ago, but maybe he's being more careful. I guess the Tsunami stuff is considered grey-market (legal there but not here). However, an individual can sell to another individual, which makes Ebay handy.
I wonder what your friend would make of my suggestion? My email is in my profile.

Hell, he's right. Tsunami doesn't have their stuff licensed for territories outside Europe, so he
can't legally sell them to the US. Anyway, if you're interested in this release, we can surely
arrange something. If you're interested, just drop me a mail!

Cheerz,

David

Thanks for the offer, but I didn't see your email. Mine's in my profile, so you can email me if you don't want to post yours. ;)
